WHILE high costs threaten West Australian’s uptake of the Oculus Rift, the first virtual reality headset to hit the consumer market this year, the video game-driven technology will also open doors for various industries.

Buying the Rift from the March 28 launch and shipping it to WA months later will cost around $A1100.
