The final report of the Australian Child Wellbeing Project (ACWP) – a collaboration between the Australian Council for Educational Research, Flinders University, and the University of New South Wales – showed a significant proportion of children aged 8–14 report poor wellbeing and increasing marginalisation. Of these children, 1 in 10 miss school once a week, 1 in 6 have been bullied, and 1 in 5 report going to school or bed hungry.
